Minerva holds the freehold interest in the Odeon Cinema in High Street Kensington, London W8.
A planning permission was granted in December 2012, for circa 100,000 sq ft of private residential accommodation, with a basement car park and cinema. The consent was renewed in 2012.
The site, comprising 0.86 acres is located just opposite the former Commonwealth Institute and south of Holland Park. Its central and prominent location along with strong transport links will ensure good demand for the scheme. This will be further enhanced by the general shortage of consented prime residential sites in Kensington and Chelsea.
In 2012, the ex Royal Mail Sorting office next to the Odeon Cinema was acquired and this will be integrated into the future development.
